Cocktail time in Washington D.C. beside the White House

In October I went for some days to D.C. The White House, the museums, the monument and all the other attractions around the White House were incredible. The most museums were for free. This made is easy to visit some of them. Everything was so huge! I liked the city districts Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria very much! The architecture was historical, in Alexandria I saw some streets with old nice houses, trees and cobbles on the street, and especially in Georgetown were a lot of hip shops and cafe shops. After sightseeing the whole day we needed a break and went to the POV. The rooftop bar was located in the W Hotel and has a stunning view to the White House and some other monuments. I liked the modern style with some design details.

Im Oktober reiste ich fuer ein paar Tage nach D.C. Das Weisse Haus, die Museen, das Monument und all die anderen Sehenswuerdigkeiten um das Weisse Hause herum waren unglaublich. Die meisten Museen hatten freien Eintritt. Das machte es einfach, einige zu besichtigen. Alles war unheimlich gross! Ich fand die Stadtteile Georgetown und Old Town Alexandria toll! Die Architektur war historisch, in Alexandria sah ich viele Strassen mit alten tollen Haeusern, Baeumen und Kopfsteinpflaster auf der Strasse, und vor allem in Georgetown gab es viele hippe Shops und Cafes! Nach der Sightseeingtour brauchten wir eine kleine Pause und gingen in das POV. Die Bar war auf der Dachterrasse des W Hotels und hat einen phantastischen Blick auf das Weisse Haus und viele andere Denkmaeler. Ich mochte den modernen Stil mit vielen Designelementen.
