Luquillo Beach, almost sundown

Luquillo - a small city in the north east of Puerto Rico, and one of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, named by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Just behind the beach is El Yunque National Forest, one of Puerto Ricos top attractions. Waterfalls, forests, a high humidity, beautiful views and just a lot of green in the rain forest, on the same name mountain El Yunque in 1080 meters height.

Gleich hinter dem Strand ist El Yunque National Forest, eine der Top-Attraktionen von Puerto Rico. Wasserfaelle, Waelder, eine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, atemberaubende Ausblicke und einfach viel gruen bestimmen den Regenwald, auf dem gleichnamigen Berg El Yunque in 1080 Metern Hoehe.

We went to a nice bar, called Boardriders, located on a street on the beach, with very good food and cocktails, and beach view inclusive. Klick here for Boardriders.

Wir gingen in eine tolle Bar, names Boardriders, gelegen an einer Strasse beim Strand, mit sehr gutem Essen und Cocktails, und Meeresblick inklusive. Klickt hier fuer Boardriders.

Not far away from out hotel we ate brunch in Lluvia, a more chic restaurant for this area, with modern tasteful interior and a beautiful backyard. The coffee latte was one of the best I drunk for a long time, and the mimosa was so fresh and delicious. Klick here for Lluvia.

Nicht weit von unserem Hotel entfernt hatten wir Brunch im Lluvia, einem etwas chiceren Restaurant in dieser Gegend, mit moderner, geschmackvoller Einrichtung und einem tollen Garten.  Der Kaffee Latte war einer der besten seit langem, und der Mimosa was so frisch und koestlich. For you as a pizza fan I recommend the Revolution. It was located in a street with a lot of restaurants and bars, one after the other, in one of the typical kiosks. Kiosk means the building with simple interior and an open patio. Klick here for Revolution.

Fuer die Pizzafans unter Euch kann ich das Revolution empfehlen. Es war ein einer Strasse mit vielen Restaurants und Bars, in einem der hier typischen Kiosks. Kiosk bedeutet ein Gebaeude mit einfacher Einrichtung und offener Terasse. Klickt hier fuer Revolution.

Concluded, Luqillo is great to spend some days on a beautiful beach, drive around, with a short distance to the National Forest and to San Juan, and mainly to enjoy the beach, the sun and the food.

Zusammengefasst, Luqillo ist grossartig, einige Tage am wunderschoenen Strand zu verbringend, ein bisschen die Gegend zu erkunden, mit kurzen Wegen in den National Forest und nach San Juan, und hauptsaechlich den Strand, die Sonne und das Essen zu geniessen.
