Don't eat before you visit Seattle's Pike Place Market

On our trip through Washington and British Columbia we went to Seattle for a couple of days. A visit to the Pike Place Market was one of my first things to do. It is Seattle's original farmers market, a public market on the waterfront Seattle's with fresh specialty food, shops and restaurants. There were so many different things to drink and eat, I almost couldn't decide. I want to show you my favorite places.

Auf unserem Roadtrip durch Washington und British Columbia waren wir fuer ein paar Tage in Seattle. Ein Besuch des Pike Place Market stand ganz vorne auf meiner To-Do-Liste. Das ist Seattle's original Farmersmarkt, ein Markt an der Wasserfront Seattle's mit frischen Spezialitaeten, Shops und Restaurants. Es gab so viele unterschiedliche Dinge zu essen und trinken, so dass ich mich fast nicht entscheiden konnte. Ich moechte Euch meine Lieblingsplaetze zeigen.

I ate a very good kebab ever at Turkish Delight (klick here for its Facebook page). They offered kebab and also some small delights and pastries. From the perspective of a European, the kebab was very pricy with 12 USD! I shortly hesitated to order it. My conclusion: very delicious and a good serving but a bit to overpriced.

I ass einen sehr guten Doener Kebab bei Turkish Delight (klickt hier fuer die Facebook Seite). Sie verkauften Doener Kebab und andere tuerkische Spezialitaeten und Gebaeck. Der Preis war - aus Sicht einer Europaeerin -  sehr hoch mit 12 USD! Ich zoegerte tatsaechlich kurz vorm Bestellen. Mein Fazit: sehr lecker und gut ausreichend in der Portion, aber etwas ueberteuert.

The next stop was the Cloudburst Brewing (klick here for their homepage). The entrance was very welcoming. Inside it was interesting because of the open view to the beer container and some other stuff for brewing beer. It was a very simple and uncomplicated concept to choose one of the different ales and to order it on the counter.

Der naechste Stop war das Cloudburst Brewing (klickt hier fuer die Homepage). Wir liessen uns gemuetlich ueber den Markt treiben und fanden den Eingang des Cloudburst Brewing auf Anhieb einladend. Innen gab es einen freien Blick auf diverse Bierbehaelter und einige andere Dinge fuer das Brauen von Bier. Es war ein sehr einfaches und unkompliziertes Konzept, denn das Bier wurde am Tresen ausgewaehlt und bestellt.

We saw the very first Starbucks just from outside, because of the very long line. I remember, that was the shop with the most customer in front of the building.

Wir sahen den ersten Starbucks nur von aussen, da die Warteschlange sehr lang war. Ich erinnere mich, dass das der Laden mit den meisten draussen vor der Tuere wartenden Kunden war.

Fresh flowers are always nice to look!  Especially in Texas, where I live, are the flower shops very rarely. So I was thrilled about this shop.

Frische Blumen sind immer schoen anzuschauen! Besonders in Texas, wo ich lebe, sind Blumenlaeden sehr selten. Somit war ich entzueckt ueber diesen Shop.

Piroshky Piroshky

The Pike Place is one of the top attractions in Seattle and a must to see! It is a great place for a couple of hours with amazing food and a great atmosphere. I would recommend to go early in the morning before the crowds. Have a nice week!

Der Pike Place ist eine der Top Attraktionen in Seattle und ein Muss zu sehen! Es ist ein toller Platz fuer ein paar Stunden, mit koestlichem Essen in toller Atmosphaere. Ich empfehle, frueh am morgen hinzugehen, vor dem Massenansturm. Habt eine schoene Woche!
