Poppies everywhere! Just in March and April! This was a great place. The Anteplope Valley Poppy Reserve (klick here) was on our way from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, approximately 70 miles in the north of L.A.

Mohnblumen ueberall! Nur im Maerz und April! Das hier war ein toller Platz. Das Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve lag auf unserem Weg von Las Vegas nach Los Angeles, ca. 70 Meilen noerdlich von L.A.

We drove for miles through the middle of nowhere, as suddenly many cars parked on the street. That was the beginning of the flower fields. After half a mile was the entrance to the State Park. We paid 10 USD and had the entrance to some different hiking trails, with different distances and levels, right through the poppy fields.

Wir fuhren meilenweit durch einsame Landschaften, als ploetzlich viele Autos entlang der Strasse parkten. Das war der Beginn der Blumenfelder. Nach ca. 1/2 Meile kam der Eingang zum State Park. Wir bezahlten 10 USD und erreichten somit den Eingang zu unterschiedlichen Wanderwegen, mit verschiedenen Laengen und Schwierigkeitsgraden, mitten durch die Mohnblumenfelder.

Although the most beautiful Poppies were outside the park on the street. For the Poppies it was not necessary to go into the State Park. The State Park was perfect for the far view and the hiking trails.

Dennoch, die schoensten Mohnblumen gab es ausserhalb des Parks zu sehen, zugaenglich von der Strasse. Um die Mohnblumen zu sehen, war es nicht unbedingt erforderlich in den State Park zu gehen. Der Park war perfekt fuer den weiten Ausblick und den Wanderwegen.

It really was beautiful. It looks like there were blankets of orange colors in distance.

Es war wunderschoen. In der Ferne sah es aus wie Teppiche mit orangen Blumen.
