Prague is one of my favorite towns in Europe, not so far away from my homeland. Because of this, I have been there a couple of times, and I have enjoyed every time (see my last post about Prague here). I had to see all the nice and historical buildings like the Charles Bridge, the Prague Castle, the Old Town Square, the Wenceslas Square, the John Lennon wall and many many more.

Prag ist eine meiner Lieblingsstaedte in Europa, und nicht sehr weit entfernt von meiner Heimat. Deshalb war ich ein paarmal dort und mochte den Aufenthalt jedes Mal (seht hier meinen letzten Post ueber Prag). Ich musste all die wunderschoenen, historischen Gebaeude besuchen wie die Karlsbruecke, die Burg, das Rathaus, den Wenzelsplatz, die John Lennon Mauer, und viele viele mehr.

This summer I discovered Vysehrad, a very beautiful historical fort on a hill over the Vltava river, close to the city, quickly reachable by subway.

Diesen Sommer entdeckte ich Vysehrad, ein schoenes, historisches Fort auf einem Berg ueber der Moldau, praktisch direkt in der Stadt und schnell mit der Metro zu erreichen.

Prague has many tourist, all over the year, no matter which season. To my surprise, Vysehrad was really quiet, just a few tourists.

Prag hat sehr viele Touristen das ganze Jahr, egal zu welcher Jahreszeit. Zu meiner Ueberraschung war es in Vysehrad ruhig, mit nur wenigen Touristen.

There was the Vysehrad Cemetery, the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, and a stunning view to Prague.

If you are looking for 1-2 hours piece and quiet, away from tourist hustle and bustle, I recommend a tour to Vysehrad.

Wenn Ihr fuer 1-2 Stunden Ruhe und Frieden sucht, weg vom Touristenrummel, empfehle ich eine Tour nach Vysehrad.
